No home is complete without books, and therefore no home is complete without bookshelves. Of course, if you've transitioned into the world of e-books, bookshelves are also practical storage and display pieces for knick-knacks, crafts, three-dimensional artworks, framed photographs, and plenty of other items. We offer a number of different solid wood bookcases to meet your needs, whatever they may be.
All our bookcases are made from solid Northern Yellow Birch, with none of the flimsy wood or particleboard you find in so many other bookshelves. The shelves are secured with brass shelf pins, and they do not sag or split at the corners, as is common in lower-quality products.
We'd also like to point out that our bookcases and several of our other storage and display pieces are designed to align perfectly. This allows them to be placed alongside each other for a tidy, unified look that mimics the appearance of built-ins.
Mid-Century Modern Solid Wood Bookcases
- Heywood-Wakefield's Straight Bookcase – Our M 321 Straight Bookcase is a great choice if you don't have a whole lot of books and aren't looking to eat up too much vertical wall space. It's a little over 2.5 feet tall and 3 feet wide, and it comes with two adjustable shelves.
- Heywood-Wakefield's Corner Bookcase – Our M 322 Corner Bookcase offers a similar amount of storage and display space as the Straight Bookcase, but this piece is one of our great space-saving furniture options. It tucks neatly into a corner, requiring minimal horizontal wall space, and at just a little more than 2.5 feet tall, it also doesn't need much vertical wall space, either.
- Heywood-Wakefield's Tall Bookcase – Our M 321 T Tall Bookcase is a full-size solid wood bookshelf. It's 6.5 feet tall and 3 feet wide, with two and a half times more storage capacity than our Straight Bookcase. There's one fixed shelf, which aligns perfectly with the top of the Straight Bookcase, and four adjustable shelves. So, if you have a considerable collection of books and a full height of wall space available, one or more of these should do well for you.
- Heywood-Wakefield's Custom-Sized Bookcase – Our M 321 C Custom-Sized Bookcase is an ideal solution if existing bookshelf options just don't quite give you what you need. We can produce bookcases in the styles of our Straight or Tall Bookcase, but at just about any size you want. The perfect fit is easily achievable!
